Meet The Teacher
Mrs. Sutter
Hi! My name is Rachel Sutter and I am EXCITED to be your child’s teacher this year. It’s going to be a fun year full of lots of learning and new adventures and I can’t wait to see what the year has in store for us. I want to know all about you, but first I’m going to tell you a few things about me.
I was born and raised right here in Lake County, IL with my two brothers and two sisters. When I graduated from Antioch High School in 2000, I stayed close to home and decided to attend The College of Lake County. After two years, I transferred to Illinois State University where I majored in Early Childhood Education. After graduating in 2004, I couldn’t wait to start teaching.
I began teaching kindergarten at Bright Horizons as well as preschool at Gavin School. In 2005 I began teaching at Spaulding School. In 2009, I obtained my masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction and in 2016 I obtained an English as a Second Language Endorsement. This will be my 19th year teaching here at Spaulding. I absolutely love teaching preschool!
My family consists of my husband Ray and our 4 children. We have three sons and one daughter.
I am so thrilled to be your teacher and for you to be a part of this wonderful class we have lined up in room 25. This is going to be an awesome year.
